This Valentino Garavani Roman Stud medium quilted in powdery pink nappa leather is indeed the special variant featuring tone-on-tone enamel studs. The oversized Roman Studs are not solid metal. Instead, they feature a smooth pink enamel inlay that perfectly matches the powdery pink nappa leather. Each pyramid stud is neatly outlined with a thin, polished gold-tone metal border, giving it a very refined, jewelry-like finish. The top rings and the shoulder chain remain in the polished gold-tone metal, creating a contrast with the enamel studs. It debuted for the Spring/Summer 2021 runway collection (introduced in late 2020) under creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. It was launched as a staple, continuous runway piece rather than a limited run. However, this specific powdery pink leather and hardware combination is seasonal and no longer part of current boutique production.
